Death in the afternoon

This work was started in September 2010. It represents the central theme of the corrida as an object of total aesthetic and expresses the paradox of the game and intrinsically and spontaneously turns into art. And at the same time it is art that becames a game by coincidence.

"Death in the Afternoon" is a metaphor for life and it symbolizes life and game of fatality and uncertainty. Everything is uncertain and the outcome is known in advance. By a constant tension between reflection and reality (death) occurs emotion. The painting of a bullfight embodies the raw material and arises beauty in all its contrasts. The painting of the corrida is the ultimate expression of a personal experience of the sacred, violence and death (as escape and expulsion).
